About Wollongong Cardinals Baseball Club
Wollongong Cardinals is located on the south coast of NSW and competes in the Baseball Illawarra competitions, fielding teams in the Junior and Senior competitions.
Originally established as the Cringila Baseball Team the club was founded by employees at the Port Kembla Steelworks. The inaugural coach was Keith Solomon of the Fab. Shop and fielded children of employees across the steelworks in the under 17s competition winning the Illawarra Junior Baseball competition at their first attempt.
Whilst the club has changed its name from Cringila to West Wollongong and more recently Wollongong, the Cardinals mascot has remained constant throughout.

Our Clubs
Juniors Club

Our Juniors competitions are for players from 3 years of age through to 15 years of age.
Ages 3 to 8: Teeball
Ages 9 to 10: Zooka (machine pitched)
Ages 11 to 15: Player pitch
Juniors play over summer from October through to April.
Seniors Club

Our Seniors club caters for players from ages 15 and over.
Games are played on Saturdays and Sundays with teams from Northern Illawarra through to the Shoalhaven.
Saturdays: Major Leagues (first grade and second grade)
Sundays: Minor Leagues
